
Driving web traffic with an innovative video
As a video promotion company, we have to practice what we preach. As part of our email campaign we found that having a video as the end destination made the email more clickable and brought more people on to our website. We wanted to provide them with something a bit different for our Christmas edition of our email campaign.
On the back of our successful Beautiful Manchester video, where we showed surprisingly the beautiful side of Manchester and one not covered in rain. We knew we would have to top this. As we are constantly staying informed and sometimes informing others of the latest trends and techniques in the world of Videography and Photography, we came across tilt-shift photography.
Beautiful ManchesterUsing a specialist lens that ‘tilts’ the main focal point of the lens and this makes the image captured look like it was stolen from toy town.
It's both what you know and who you knowUtilising our many contacts we managed to get access to many rooftops in key areas of Manchester. We spent about a day filming spread over a few days (not always easy to get the best weather in Manchester) and worked our magic back at the studio. The video has a unique look to it and makes Manchester look like a small-scale model, just one with real people. We would later use this technique for the Tecmark video incorporating innovative graphics into the St Peter’s Square scene. |
